The Company Manufacturing the Brand
Ironman is a brand owned and produced by Keys Fitness, a company based in Garland, Texas. Keys began manufacturing treadmills in 1997, but they have been involved in the fitness industry for a long time selling dumbbells and other strength training items.
Though they manufacture the products in the U.S., but import most of their components from abroad to retain their competitive edge. Due to this, few o their older machines had few quality problems.
Today, Keys Fitness possesses minimum 6 treadmill brands, each of which is designed to fulfill differing needs and pockets. The brands are Alliance, Encore, and HealthTrainer etc. as well as producer of Smooth treadmills (not owners) that are mainly sold via internet.
Price Range
Ironman treadmills are generally low to mid-priced machines. The price ranges from a low of $800 to a high of $1,500. However some of their premium treadmills cost $2,000.
Warranty
Like their other brands, Keys Fitness also offers their universal 10 year motor warranty with all Ironman units. (the cheap ones too) Other warranties are lifetime for frames, 2 years for parts and 1 year for labor.
Drawbacks…
Like many other brands from Keys Fitness, the major drawback of these machines is the quality of finish. Except that, they are good treadmills to possess.
Recommendation
If they are available on sale, go for reduced cost Ironman treadmills. These cheaper models are a great bargain if available at a discounted price.
